Mumbai: Three held for illegally filling LPG gas into pesticide cans

MUMBAI: Three men were arrested by Aarey police on Tuesday f for illegally filling LPG gas from 21kg cylinders into empty
pesticide cans.
The police raided a place at Mathai Pada in Aarey colony where they found gas being filled in a dangerous and negligent manner. This was being done in a manner which could endanger human lives, officials said.
The police arrested Deepak Salve, 29, Rajesh Salve, 25, andSantosh Jadhav, 24. They are all residents of Mathai Pada.
The raiding police team seized five sacks of empty pesticide cans, stickers, six full LPG cylinders with 4 multi-nozzles,
six empty LPG cylinders, plastic rolls, a heater machine and iron stands.
The refilled gas containers were being sold in various shops which in turn would refill gas for cigarette lighters
The Aarey Police have registered an FIR under sections 285, 286, 336, 34 of the IPC read with
Sections 3 & 7 of the Essential commodities Act 1955 and and with sections 3 & 7 of the LPG control order.
