The social media handles of the Indian Premier League (IPL) have released the schedule for the 2019 edition games. The BCCI has got clearance to host IPL 2019 games between March 23 and April 5 from the election commission.
Eight centres will host two matches each and the capital will be hosting three games in the first segment of the 12th edition of the cash-rich league. Chennai Super Kings to face Royal Challenger Bangalore in the opener.
All teams will play a minimum of 4 matches with Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) playing 5 matches. Every team will play a minimum of 2 home and 2 away matches with DC playing 3 home matches, while RCB will play 3 away matches.
With the whole tournament set to be played in India, it is important the matches are scheduled in accordance with the election dates.
The IPL is set to get underway on March 23 and the final will be played in Chennai. This will also be the first time that the league will be played without a chairman. The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) had disbanded all committees and sub-committees after the registration of the new constitution.
