India vs Australia 1st ODI: MS Dhoni reached another milestone as he surpassed Rohit Sharma to become India’s most prolific six-hitter in ODIs as he smashed his 216th six for the Indian cricket team.
Kedar Jadhav and Dhoni struck unbeaten fifties as they pulled India to win against Australia by six wickets in the first one-day international of five-match series on Saturday.
The veteran stalwart reached the milestone as he smashed Aussie pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile for a mighty hit over long on in the 38th over.
At the start of the ODI, Dhoni and Rohit were both tied at 215 sixes, but the former Indian captain overtook the opener soon. Dhoni now heads the list with Rohit in second spot and Sachin Tendulkar on third.

Chris Gayle tops the list with over 500 sixes followed by Shahid Afridi (476) and Brendon McCullum (398) who make the top three.
Dhoni also ranks fourth on the list on most ODI sixes in career, a list led by Shahid Afridi.
