Bringing focus back to the home seats in Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Gandhi held back to back rallies in Rae Bareli and Amethi on Saturday attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for pushing people into misery through demonetization and failing to provide jobs to the youth.

He claimed that if returned to power the Congress will provide at least 10 lakh jobs to country’s youth only through Panchayats. “Ten lakh youth can be given jobs in panchayats. The moment Congress government comes to power, we will hand over these jobs to the youth,” said Gandhi.

Both Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Rahul Gandhi have taken the responsibility of campaigning Sonia Gandhi’s constituency of Rae Bareli as she is not too well to go through the rigours of continuous rallies.

Questioning PM Modi’s ability to provide jobs, Rahul said, “Not a single youth in the country can say “Yes, chowkidar gave me employment, while the unemployment rate is highest in 45 years.” He termed demonetization as the most foolish step in 70 years of country’s independence.
