Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s neverending love for automobiles is the best-known fact amongst his followers. The former Indian skipper is the owner of numerous cars and bikes and his wife has confirmed a new addition to his garage.
Sakshi uploaded a picture on Instagram announcing the arrival of their Jeep Grand Cherokee, and said: “Welcome home #redbeast! Your toy is finally here @mahi7781, really missing you!’
The Cherokee is reportedly worth between Rs 80-90 lakh in India.
MS Dhoni has joined with the army troops in Kashmir valley and will carry out patrolling, guard duties and similar responsibilities just like other soldiers.
The Men In Blue wicket-keeper is also set to train with the Army’s special forces units also. MSD reported reached Srinagar on the 30th of July and has been staying with the jawans in barracks and is waking up at 5 A.M. in the morning just like the rest of the unit.
Even though Dhoni had a separate allotted room for himself, the Lt Col decided not to take that and stay with the rest of the jawans in the barracks and has been eating, working and sleeping like the rest of them.
“Dhoni is a brand ambassador of the Indian Army. He has engaged in motivating members of his unit and has often been playing football and volleyball with the soldiers. He is also undertaking battle training exercises with the corps. He will remain in the valley till 15 August.” an army official said.
With speculations doing the roundabout what Dhoni will do post the World Cup, the former captain scotching all rumors saying he does not plan to retire.
He rather has taken time out of cricket, to serve the nation in a testing place like Jammu and Kashmir.
Dhoni, awarded the honorary rank of a Lieutenant Colonel in 2011, belongs to the Territorial Army’s 106 Infantry Battalion. It is one of the two battalions that the Army has for the parachute regiment.
